Together, Dentsply Sirona, rdhu, Crest+Oral-B and ODHA offered a powerful full day of professional development on June 30, 2023. This seminar featured three highly experienced dental hygienists and skilled seminar leaders: Dani Botbyl, Kathleen Bokrossy and Beth Ryerse. The hands-on workshops were focused on using the latest dental technology and techniques for clinical and technical continuing education.

– Shape Matters: Moving Curved Ultrasonic Instruments from the Drawer onto your Tray! – Presented by Dani Botbyl, RDH

In this fast-paced, hands-on session, Dani encouraged participants to experience the benefits of curved ultrasonic instruments. These instruments have characteristics that help slay biofilm in a way other instruments cannot.

– Maximize the Longevity of your Instruments and Ultrasonic Inserts: An Experiential Workshop – Presented by Kathleen Bokrossy, RDH

Taking care of your instruments and inserts and using the appropriate tool for its intended purpose will extend the lifespan and ensure optimal performance. 

– Truth or Consequences in the Dental Hygiene Treatment Room – Presented by Beth Ryerse, RDH

What are the ‘truths’ that we need to let go of as RDH’s? What are the consequences if we do not? Participants learned by using case studies in this interactive session.
