We invite you to review the inaugural Member Value Report. This report provides a snapshot of the 2020-2021 membership year in the areas of advocacy, communications and resources, professional development, public awareness, member benefits, plus a review of ODHA’s pandemic response. ODHA staff has worked tirelessly to support members and we are excited to share the successes, accomplishments, and value of membership with you.

A message from the President: A strong voice for the profession

I am filled with excitement as I look ahead to my term serving as president of one of the largest health-care professions in Ontario. Together, with the ODHA Board of Directors, we are committed to keeping the lines of communication open so we can represent your voice to bring about change.

Your voice is important to the strength and growth of the profession in Ontario. Together we can continue to accomplish great things to advance the profession. A larger membership increases ODHA’s ability to advocate for members and strengthen our position when oral health issues are submitted to the Ontario government where health-care decisions are made. The passing of the spousal exception regulation in October 2020 is evidence of what can be accomplished together.

A strong membership also gives ODHA the ability to negotiate a wide range of membership services and benefits for your personal and professional growth.

ODHA offers amazing benefits and services, including first class professional development online courses and in person seminars for dental hygienists practising in Ontario. I personally take advantage of the many benefits. Some of my favourites include amazing malpractice and critical illness insurances.

There are so many reasons to belong to the ODHA. One I am confident of, is you will find an association that will stand with you and support you throughout your career, being a strong voice in the province where you work.

I invite you to join the ODHA and become part of a dynamic association. Want more information? Contact Darragh Brown at ODHA or click here to join ODHA.

Let’s keep moving the profession forward, together!

Your profession. Your province. Your association.

2021-2022 President: Carrie Vondrau, RRDH
